Maxx Metals and SMF’s Terminal B

February 13, 2012

SMF Central Terminal BRecently we have noticed an uptick in the demand for steel all over the Northern California region. It’s nice to see after the last few difficult years. Yet despite the recent tough times, it’s interesting to note that the airport construction industry has stayed robust. Thanks to the federal government’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP), funding has been made available for the planning and development of public-use airports. One facility that benefited from this massive program also turned out to also be one of our biggest customers: the Sacramento International Airport. The modernization and upgrade of SMF’s Terminal B cost $1 billion and included a lot of our steel and metals. We could tell you how amazing the new terminal looks, but we thought you might want to take a look with your own eyes.

We’re proud that our steel and our outstanding customer service made this project possible. Enjoy!
